It would be a travesty if we didn’t cover the best designs for the 2024 Paris opening ceremony. The competing countries from around the world understood the assignment: let the style begin. And style they did.
Most people would say the Olympic Games begins when the caldron is lit. For me, the competition already started when we saw the athletes wearing their designer uniforms from their respective countries.
From big name designers to up and coming designers, it was like watching a fashion show on the Seine river.
Here are my top 5 designers for this year’s opening ceremony.
1) Stella Jean
Team Haiti
This viral look started with leftover materials and a passionate designer. The trousers and skirts were works of art, collaborating with Haitian artist, Phillipe Dodard.
2) Michel & Amazonka
Team Mongolia
This look took the world by storm. The handmade details are truly amazing.
3) Francis Libiran
Team Philippines
This unique design was to represent armor made for protecting the heart.

“If you can’t find a way, make a way.” Navy blue jackets and jeans are always a timeless look.

What’s interesting about this uniform are the names printed inside the jackets – they list all the athletes’ names who won Olympic gold medals. You are surrounded by greatness.
