Olympics Edition: Designer Jeanne Friot Takes the World Stage

Can you believe how gorgeous the opening ceremony at the 2024 Olympics was? There was no shortage of breathtaking views. From the Eiffel Tower displaying the five Olympic rings, to the impromptu fashion show that took place, I was in awe.

One of the most iconic moments was watching designer Jeanne Friot’s fashion piece gallop through the Seine river. It was sexy, edgy and surprisingly modest which made it all the more alluring.

Worn by a Gendarmerie noncommissioned officer, Floriane Issert, the piece itself was designed to look like a coat of armor. I love how detailed the look is. From the oversized speckled silver hood to the Olympic flag draping as a cape, the look ATE.

True to Jeanne Friot’s style, you can see silver and black belts buckled and wrapped tightly around, giving a warrior-chic vibes. The outfit was topped off with chunky buckled knee high boots because every warrior needs a pair of fashionable boots.

I felt like I was at a fashion show watching the flag bearer walk down the Eiffel Tower shaped runway. It really was a stunning performance.

Buckle up for the most fashionable Opening Ceremony!

This look truly felt like the final piece of the a Jeanne Friot collection. Perhaps Jeanne Friot was giving us a little preview of what was to come in the Paris Olympics with their Spring 2025 IDOLS collection?! I see a similar color palette and chunky buckled knee high boots.

While Jeanne Friot designs are quite new and upcoming, they are from the heart. The 29-year old designer emerged from the shadows of the COVID pandemic buckling down on political topics such as racism, sexism and homophobia. They created genderless outfits which can be worn by anyone.

No Racism

No Sexism

No Homophobia
