Mama Touray is a model who is constantly studying and working towards her nursing degree. She loves the nursing field because it makes her feel good to help others. While she is currently looking to volunteer in a hospital in New York, she hopes that one day she can return to her native country, Gambia in order to provide medical assistance there.
Mama Touray’s style is casual. She likes wearing jeans, a T-shirt and her hair up. She enjoys hanging out with her friends, watching comedies and eating red velvet cheese cake. Her favorite show is Once Upon A Time. She likes visiting places throughout the country such as Colorado and Tennessee. If she could be a fruit or vegetable she would be a mango, really sweet just like her.
Mama Touray walked for PLITZ Fashion Marketing’s New York Fashion Week and competed in their Emerging Model of the Year competition. Mama Touray said that even though she was nervous to walk the runway, PLITZ helped her become a better model. She dreams of walking for bigger fashion shows with top designers.
Whether he is running track or walking the runway, Joseph Hall is always bringin’ it. Between his ambition and his determination, he has won gold medals for his athletic performance. He’s been running track with his dad ever since he was little. He looks up to both of his role models Michael Johnson and Usan Bolt, Olympic gold medalists and track & field legends.
Joseph creates his own style. He has fashion designers such as Vernis make his clothing. Joseph likes to stand out and be unique. He dreams of making it to the top of the modeling industry and helping his family. You can find him hanging out in Dave & Buster’s and working out at the gym. He loves chocolate cake. His favorite movie is Titanic. If he could be a fruit or vegetable, he would be lettuce.
Joseph walked in the 2016 Brooklyn Fashion Week. He recently competed in the 2017 PLITZ Fashion Marketing Emerging Model Competition.
David Blackwell is a model who has a passion for sports, music and cooking. You can find him shooting hoops on the basketball court, creating & writing music or cooking a delicious meal. His favorite dish is boneless fried chicken, mashed potatoes and macaroni.
His style is preppy. David’s go to outfit is a pair of slim fit jeans, a button down shirt and a blazer. If he could walk down the runway with anyone, it would be with supermodel Gigi Hadid.
David’s biggest accomplishment is finishing school and playing collegiate basketball. David is a movie buff. If he could be a fruit or vegetable, he would be grapes because everyone enjoys them.

Between the gorgeous fashion and breathtaking views, I had a fabulous time at the NYFW Night of Envision Fantasies and Fashion. The show was held at the Sky Room NYC rooftop lounge which overlooks New York City. The fashion show debuted fashion stylist Monique Obeze’s wardrobe, the CEO & Founder of House of Style By Monique. Each model wore a fashionable outfit and piece including a signature mask.

Shyla Brianne Chism is a creative and unique fashionista from Arkansas who wants to get as much into her life as she can. You can find her broadcasting on Live.me or painting with oils and acrylics. If she could be a fruit or vegetable she would be a pineapple because of its unique characteristics – rough on the outside, sweet on the inside and wears a crown on top. #queen
When she’s not modeling, Shyla does the makeup for different fashion events. She’s traveled from her hometown to do makeup jobs in Texas and even traveled to New York to do for makeup for New York Fashion Week. While she does all sorts of makeup, her favorite is special effects makeup. Her craziest makeup experience was when she made it look like a dart was stuck in somebody’s arm – with blood and all.
Black leather is her go to outfit. Her style is edgy, grungy and chic. You can find her wearing a black leather jumpsuit one day and a poodle skirt the next. She’s obsessed with chocolate, tattoos, shoes and most importantly unicorns. Her superhero is Harley Quinn. If she could walk down the runway with any celebrity, it would be Little Wayne, one of her favorite artists.
Shyla modeled on the cover of Glitz Magazine. She has also modeled for pinup shoots at John Gladman’s Photographer’s Convention.
I had the honor of being one of the show judges for the PLITZS Fashion Marketing’s 2017 KIDS Fashion Democracy show & the Model of the Year Competition. It was a fantastic experience.
Each model brought their own style to the runway. As a judge, I was looking for the models that really captured the essence of what it is to be a model. I focused on each model’s walk, posture, energy, outfit and air of confidence.
Walk – It’s important to have a strong walk. If not, it could be extremely distracting to the audience. For example: walking too fast or too slow, randomly stopping in the middle of the runway and flailing your arms back and forth can all take away from the moment.
Posture – You want to keep your posture straight. Good posture often gives off a good impression in the fashion world.
Energy – The energy a model brings to a fashion show is essential. You want to give off a positive vibe through your facial expressions and body language.
Outfit – Each model showed 3 outfits: a white shirt & jeans, a bathing suit and evening attire. For these fashion shows, picking the right outfit which fits you well only enhances your overall appearance on the runway.
Confidence – Confidence is key. I want to see that you feel comfortable in your own skin while walking on the runway and keeping that confidence while posing in front of the camera.
Congratulations to everyone who competed!
The shows took place in the heart of Manhattan at Hotel Pennsylvania on January 7th. PLITZS Fashion Marketing connects the fashion world to diversity, affordability and creativity.
